Allerthorpe Lakeland Park is situated approximately 10 miles from York..
Following on from the Sprint distance event held at this venue, the challenge steps up to the standard distance.
This time the swim comprises of 2 laps of the lake, with a small exit from the water after one lap, before re-commencing the 2nd lap. The swim exit lends itself to an ideal viewing area for spectators. Following the swim, a fast, very scenic bike course awaits, could this be the event to gain that Personal Best? Finally the run comprises of a 1 loop, road 10Km on quiet country roads. Cafe and refreshment facilities are available at the venue as well as a children’s play area. Nature walks around the lake offer plenty of opportunity to observe the wildlife. Plenty to keep the spectators entertained whilst the competitors are tackling the Allerthorpe Classic Triathlon.
