Freebird Events



Based at Craven Swimming Pool & Aireville Park, the Skipton Triathlon has become the largest pool based triathlon in the Yorkshire & Humberside region. Freebird Events will continue with this success to bring a high quality triathlon to Skipton.


Based at Driffield Sports Centre, this early season event in its 3rd year is ideal for both novice and experienced triathlete. The swim takes place in the brand new built, 6 lane 25 metre pool. The bike course is a very scenic, one lap course. The run course utilises both the roads, paths and large grassed areas around the sports centre.


Tristart to Youth			Closing date 30th May
This popular event for 8 to 16 year olds is again being run at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate by the organising committee with, for the first time, chip timing provided by Freebird Events. Swim in an indoor, heated 25m pool, cycle on a tarmac surface (1km laps), run on a separate tarmac surface (600m laps). Trophies awarded to the first three boys and girls in each category, prizes for local athletes, souvenirs to all finishers. With your help raising vital funds for ChildLine.


Situated on the outskirts of York, this newly developed, purpose built Lakeland Park offers a very nice setting for the Allerthorpe races. The swim comprises 1 lap of the lake with full view of the competitors at all times. An ideal event to choose as your first encounter into open water triathlon.


The Beverley Triathlon will once again use the state of the art 8 lane competition pool at Beverley Leisure Centre. The bike course takes place on quiet, scenic country roads whilst the run uses the local roads around the leisure centre


Following on from the earlier sprint distance event, the classic distance provides a further challenge to all competitors. The bike course covers a very fast scenic route, perhaps the course to produce a personal best? The run comprises of a run along the quiet country roads around Allerthorpe.
